*** Denton Boys Baseball All Star Information ***

    All Star Tournament Teams participate in a more competitive environment than regular DBBI recreational league play.  These teams begin play after the conclusion of the DBBI season and generally participate in tournaments in neighboring communities.

 

SELECTION PROCESS:

  1. Head Coaches nominate four players from their team that are available for two Summer tournaments with possible dates of June 8th-10th, 15th-17th, or 22nd-24th.
  2. The All Star coach is selected by coaches' vote and get DBBI Board approval.
  3. The (regular season) Head Coaches of each age division meet to select that divisions All Star team, by vote.  Making sure each regular season team has at least one player represented.  Each roster will consist of eleven to twelve players.  The remainder of the roster is filled by the next highest voted players, until thee is one spot remaining.  The final roster spot is filled by the All Star Head Coach.
  4. Each age division from 7U - 14U will make one team, unless that age division has seven teams or more, then two teams may be made.

 

COST:

  1. Each player selected pays an All-Star registration fee.
  2. This fee covers the cost of the cap and jersey along with the cost of the tournaments.
  3. The fee will be between $75 - $90 dollars.

DBBI SPRING 2018 REGISTRATION

On-line registration begins Dec. 15, 2017 through January 28, 2018.

**On-line Late registration January 29th through February 2nd, $10 late fee applies (if spots are available)**

On-site registration - Academy Sports + Outdoors Saturday, January 13th 10am - 2pm  2600 W. University Dr., Denton, TX. Players with a summer birthday between May 1 & Sept. 1, may move up to play with their classmates.  Anyone wishing to do this must register in person at the On-site registration at Academy on January 13th.  Only cash or check payment accepted at the on-site registration or if registering in the DBBI office.

If your player does not fall within the Summer birthday option and you request for your player to "play-up" into the next age division - you MUST register your player at either the on-site registration at Academy or at the DBBI office.  There is a $20 non-refundable "play-up" fee and your player must participate in BOTH age division Coach Looks.

*Coaches, asst. coaches and field/dugout volunteers please "register" yourself in that role at the time you register your player before Jan. 25th.  If you register as a coach or asst. coach - you will also need to participate at the appropriate age division Coach Look.  Head Coaches will be selected by Feb. 1st.

** CITY OF DENTON - ATHLETIC FIELD CONDITION LINE **

The City of Denton Parks and Rec determines if fields are playable when conditions are questionable. The City will update their field condition line by 4pm weekdays and 8:30am on weekends.
